Okami

Jul 19, 2013  In Okami, the legendary monster Orochi has come back to life and turned the world into a veritable wasteland. Players become a wolf, an embodiment of the sun god Amaterasu - the world lies in gamer's hands as they fight ominous beings and reclaim the earth from a curse that plagues it.

I have played about 10hours of both the Ps2 and the Wii version of Okami. I am quite torn as to which version is the best. Okami on Wii looks sharper and has more vibrant color, but it doesn't nail the Sumi-e graphics filter at all, and the wiimote waggle is not used in a meaningful way at all (and the nunchuku-dodging is terrible). The Ps2 version though, looks quite bland even though the artstyle fits better. I feel the control got tighter with the Wii version, and I am playing with a much greater flow, because of the speed gained with it.

But I don't feel Ready at Dawn mapped the controls in the best way possible in the Wii version, although they could blaim Nintendo for very akward face buttons. Overall, I am leaning toward to Wii version, mostly because of the faster drawing capabilities, looking outside of that very important control mechanic, there are some +:es and -:es on both sides. What do people think? On which console do you get the best Okami experience?

And please don't state that they are virtually the same, because even though the changes might be minor, overall the different versions look and play quite differently.
